This five-year, $15M project is supported through the <\/span>United States Agency for International Development\u2019s (USAID) Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships and Innovations\/Innovation, Technology Research Hub as part of the Building Research and Innovation for Development: Generating Evidence and Training program (BRIDGE-Train). <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The funded project runs from June 2020 to June 2025.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[Learn more about the <a style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is to support higher education institutions in building the capacity necessary to provide best-in-class degree programs and training, facilitate research translation and utilization, and engage stakeholders in best practices and policy changes that strengthen supply chains. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>CARISCA&#8217;s Goals:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Establish KNUST as Africa\u2019s preeminent source of supply chain management expertise;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serve as a resource for researchers in Ghana and across Africa to drive innovation, research, knowledge translation through the application of research findings, and training to improve African supply chains, sustained by revenue-generating activities and a robust partner network;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create the supply chain management professionals and research that significantly improves the efficiency and effectiveness of health and agricultural supply chains.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div Areas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">CARISCA works in three focus areas: <a href=\"https:\/\/research.wpcarey.asu.edu\/carisca\/cariscas-focus-areas\/research\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"174\">research<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/research.wpcarey.asu.edu\/carisca\/cariscas-focus-areas\/stakeholder-engagement\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"176\">stakeholder engagement<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/research.wpcarey.asu.edu\/carisca\/cariscas-focus-areas\/curriculum\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"178\">curriculum<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Together, these activities enable KNUST to increase research capacity, strengthen and update supply chain curricula, and provide supply chain management expertise to Ghana and Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">These activities also focus on developing partnerships and revenue-generating activities to sustain ongoing growth and influence.
