Carey School of Business discovered that humble bosses perform best. “These kinds of leaders are more likely to empower others, to trust others, and to work well with others,” said Management Professor Angelo Kinicki. In other words, a humble boss is more likely to help people feel good and collaborate more, boosting productivity.

Ray Anderson: Athletics boosting financial game

Ray Anderson is Arizona State University’s athletic director and university vice president. Before accepting the position in January 2014, Anderson was managing football operations for the NFL. At the Economic Club of Phoenix luncheon on October 9, 2014, he discussed ASU’s challenge to boost sports revenues and fundraising and lower university subsidies for athletics.
