KNUST creates a winning entry for the ASU/Devex Global Hackathon

A team from KNUST developed a winning entry in the ASU/Devex Global Hackathon held in conjunction with Devex World 2020.

The hackathon was open to universities from anywhere in the world and called on students to create solutions to five real-world development challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. A winning team in each challenge category was showcased at Devex World on December 10, 2020, and will receive opportunities to further develop their idea.

Congratulations to the winning team from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the design and manufacture of prosthetic limbs made from recyclable materials. They were the winning entry in the Business Transforming Development Challenge category.

Watch the pitch they developed as part of the Global Hackathon created by ASU for Devex World 2020.
