Senior Technical Advisor
Abdul Samed Muntaka is an associate professor in the Supply Chain and Information Systems Department at the KNUST School of Business. He holds a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK). He is a Senior Technical Advisor on Agricultural Supply Chain Innovation, Technology and Degree programs at the Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain – Africa (CARISCA, KNUST) and a Fellow at the Technology Consultancy Center, KNUST. He has served on several committees of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and beyond and is currently a member of the University Council, which is the highest decision making body of the University. He is fluent in English, Hausa, Twi and Dagbani. His research interests are in the areas of business operations and performance, sustainable supply chain management, supply chain vulnerability and resilience and project management. Over the years, he has worked with different groups in the agricultural commodities supply chain to identify market inflections and provide solutions to sustain the flow of products along the supply chain. In this regard, his consultancy works have focused on identifying and analyzing the trends/drifts influencing the agricultural commodities industry and developing the abilities of the supply chain actors to respond to trend inflections in the best way possible.
